Important Event
Information
All riders
must check-in and pick up their packets. Wristbands
are also your meal ticket for Century, Metric and Quarter riders. It is
also important to read the half sheet
notice in your packet before beginning as it has information you will need to
know like the number to call for Sag Support.
Century,
Metric and Quarter riders can choose to leave ahead of the start times however
some of the rest stops may not be open.
See route maps for rest stop times. Historic Hay Wagon & Nature Hike
times are fixed.
All
participants must wear wristbands or carry them with you to show.
Century (100 mile) Ride Starts at 7:30 AM
After registration check-in please proceed through park,
over
Century
Riders only: If you arrive at the New Hope Road and Fish Hatchery
intersection after 2:30 PM you should not take Fish Hatchery Road but
proceed on New Hope and follow the Pink Metric Century road markings back to
Palmerton Park otherwise you will not make it back in time for the meal or
festivities which end at 5:30 PM – your choice.
Metric (65 mile) Ride Starts at 9:00 AM
After registration check-in please proceed through park,
over
Quarter (25 mile) Ride Starts at 10:00 AM
After registration check-in please proceed through park,
over
Wildflower Family Fun Ride (2.5 miles) Starts at 1 PM
Meet at the Visitors Info booth and boat launch
parking lot on the S. side of Depot St. Bridge
(across
from the Best Western Motel on Hwy 99).
Great ride for everyone to enjoy the
greenway. Stop along the way to toss wildflowers along
the trail and learn about flora/fauna
and
wildlife along the trail from a State Parks Representative.
Historic Nature
Hike Event has 3 choices:
Option A: Historic Hay Ride #1 followed
by Nature Hike (2.5 mi)
10:00 AM - Meet just
before
Hay Ride Starts at approx. 10:15 AM.
Description:
Step back in time on a historic hay wagon trip through the town of
River
narrated by Pam Ward (an actress you might recognize from the tv series “Perry
Mason” or from her books on tape). You
will be dropped off downtown and proceed to the Rogue River Greenway Portal
where you will be met by a State Parks representative who will take you on the river
side nature hike and talk about flora/fauna and wildlife of the area.
Note: at the end of the paved trail is a rest stop with refreshments –
this is also where you turn around and walk back to
Option B: Historic Nature Hike (4 miles)
10:30 AM - Meet just
before
Hike Starts at 10:45 AM
Description:
A narrated hike through the historic town of
Rogue
River Greenway at the
Parks
Representative who will take you on the river side nature hike and talk about
flora/fauna and wildlife of the area. Note: at the end of the paved trail is a rest
stop with refreshments – this is also where you turn around and walk
back to
Option C: Historic Hay Ride #2
followed by Nature Hike (2.5 mi)

Description: Same as Option A.
